While the foundation of my blog is loosely education based, I’m having a difficult time connecting the content of this entry to my blog theme. But here’s the thing, the content of this entry quite simply makes me smile. During those small windows of down time, when opportunity arises for a little mental break, sometimes it’s the small things that help to re-charge.

Jerry Seinfeld has a web series I absolutely adore called Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. If you enjoy Jerry’s humour, a fantastic cup of coffee, the sound of a buzzing cafe, the vibrant streets of New York, hip background music, and cars that have character, this web series is for you. Basically Jerry picks up his well-known comedian friends and takes them out for coffee while the camera is rolling the entire time. Clicking on the pics below will take you directly to the site to watch the episodes. Each episode is about 20 minutes long.

My fabulous and lovely colleague Deena Humeston recently recommended listening to Alec Baldwin’s podcast Here’s the Thing. When faced with a mountain of ironing on Sunday, I popped in my earbuds and literally whistled while I worked. I listened to Alec Baldwin interview Eric Shiner, curator of The Andy Warhol Museum, who talked about Andy Warhol’s life in New York City. Simply fascinating. Alec Baldwin is such a witty entertainer with a voice made for radio. Here’s the Thing is rich conversation with a side of humour. Thanks Deena!
